Asterias 3 – Pupil’s book

Asterias 3 is organized into three major thematic units:

The first unit covers Everyday Life, focusing on activities at home, school, and in the city, including visits to markets and shops, while also referencing the past continuous tense and descriptions of life in earlier times.

The second unit explores Leisure Time, discussing topics such as vacations, dining out, performances (like shadow theater and cinema), and social gatherings (including weddings and baptisms).

The third unit centers on Health, addressing visits to the doctor and dentist, understanding one’s body, and expressing emotions such as joy, fear, and doubt. The material is further enriched with discussions on ethics and customs, including Easter, May Day, national holidays, and various literary texts.

Grammar concepts are presented in an engaging manner designed to stimulate children's curiosity. The vocabulary is expanded to include more abstract terms. At the end of the book, a concise 40-page grammar section covers all the concepts introduced in Asterias 1, 2, and 3. The resources also include a vocabulary list of 2000 words and a CD featuring songs in various musical styles.

Upon completing Asterias 3, students are eligible to take the exam from the Center for the Greek Language (ΚΕΓ) for the official Ellinomatheia Certificate A1 for children. The content aligns with both CEFR and ΚΕΓ curricula.
